Hunter L participates in the OKC 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

Saturday morning Hunter Lassley had the honor and responsibility of carrying Sean S. Hanley's memory in the OKC 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb. Sean was one of the 343 firefighters that lost their lives on 9/11/2001. Hunter completed the 110 flights in full bunker gear which weighs around 50 pounds. When he reached the top he added Mr. Hanley's name tag to the Memorial Wall and a bell was rung in. Hanley's honor. 

Hunter is a senior at Comanche High School. Hunter runs cross country and plays basketball. While finishing his Senior year he is also a volunteer firefighter at the Comanche Volunteer Fire Department. Hunter said, "It was a neat experience, I got to represent a firefighter who gave his life." Hunter found out about the event from a fellow volunteer who also participated.
