Welcome

On behalf of the CPS  Board of Education and all of us who work with your children, I wish to extend to you a heartfelt welcome back for the 2024-2025 school year. I especially want to welcome our families who are new to our district. Our vision is “to provide a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where the students of today develop the skills and knowledge to make a positive difference in their community and world.”. We believe that to be impactful we need to have a successful academic culture. In order for this to happen we have made it a priority to ensure that we have staff in place so that both teaching and learning can take place at their highest level.  Our teachers and staff have been working hard to ensure your child has a successful start to the school year.  They have been engaged in all forms of professional development and specialized training over the summer so they can properly equip their students with the necessary skills for academic success.

Students: You are the heart of our community. Your enthusiasm, curiosity, and determination never fail to inspire us. As you step into your classrooms, remember that each day holds the potential for discovery and growth. Embrace the challenges, celebrate the victories, and know that your CPS family stands beside you, cheering you on every step of the way.

Parents and guardians: Your unwavering support forms the cornerstone of your student's learning. Your commitment to partnering with us in nurturing our students is truly commendable. We value your trust and pledge to create an environment that fosters not only academic achievement but also character development and well-rounded growth.

This year, we are embarking on a journey of continued improvement  and excellence. Our commitment to providing a well-rounded education remains steadfast, and we eagerly embrace the opportunities that lie ahead. From academic programs to extracurricular activities, we are dedicated to the development of every student.

With recent legislation, there have been some changes to how staff members can communicate with students electronically. Be on the lookout for upcoming information as we finalize “Rooms” through our cpsok.org mobile app. If you haven't downloaded the cpsok.org mobile app please do so before the start of the school year.

As we move into the 2024-2025 school year, let us partner together to create a community that uplifts, supports, and empowers each other.

An exciting change for our district is that ALL students will be able to eat at no charge at all the sites.

I am truly honored to serve as your Superintendent and look forward to the upcoming year for your student. I can't wait to see the growth and success that they will achieve.
