Comanche Public Schools would like to welcome the following staff for the 21-22 school year.
Jarod King
Coach King is the new head baseball coach here at Comanche High School. He will teach Oklahoma History and US History. Jarod comes to Comanche after a 17-year stint at Fletcher. While coaching baseball for the Wildcats he amassed a 302-129 record. His teams qualified for 3 state tournaments and won 9 district championships. Coach King was named the SWOBCA Coach of the Year as well. Mr. King will be the junior high head softball coach and 7th-grade boys basketball coach.
Dana Lohrer
Mrs. Lohrer will be the 8th grade, science teacher. She will be an assistant coach for cross country, track, and high school girls basketball. Dana Lohrer is a 1998 graduate of Velma-Alma High School. She graduated in 2002 from southeastern Oklahoma State University with a teaching degree in Health, Physical Education, and Recreation. While at Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Dana was a 4-year starter for the women’s basketball team and ended her career as a 2002 Division II NationalRunner-Up. Dana spent some time in the college ranks as a graduate assistant for women’s basketball at Fresno State and at Sam Houston State University.
Mrs. Lohrer met her husband, Byron Lohrer, working at a Lakers basketball camp. Shortly after, Byron and Dana were married and they started their family. They have been blessed with 3 wonderful children Jaycee (16), Jackson (14), and James (7).
Dana started her teaching career at Duncan Public Schools in 2019. For the past 2 years, she has been the 5th-grade science teacher at Horace Mann Elementary. Dana has spent the majority of her life in Stephens County so she is well aware of Comanche’s long history of being a great school that is competitive on and off the field/court.
Mrs. Lohrer looks forward to helping her students/athletes grow in knowledge, develop skills, and learn to do hard things so that they can be successful adults. Dana and her family are grateful to be a part of the wonderful community of Comanche!
Lindsey Lovelace
Lindsey Lovelace joins us from Central High, Ok. Mrs. Lovelace will be teaching kindergarten at CES. She has two boys Kutter (7) and Kreek (3). Mrs. Lovelace is a graduate of Cameron University. This will be her 5th year teaching Early Childhood.
She enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is so excited to be a part of Comanche Elementary and the community!
Amy Miller
Amy received her bachelor’s degree from Cameron University and her master’s from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a dual emphasis in special Education behaviors and special ed administration. Amy has certifications in mild/moderate and severe/profound Special Education. Amy has previously worked as a special education paraprofessional for Duncan Public Schools for the past 5 years. Amy has three children and is the daughter of Carlann Miller. Amy is really excited to be a part of the team.
Fabian Reyes
Fabian Reyes is a math teacher coming from Tomlinson Middle school in Lawton; prior to that he spent a year teaching physical education PreK-2nd grade and coaching high school and middle school in his hometown of Frederick, OK. Married 27 years with three sons and one granddaughter, he also served as City Treasurer/Finance Director of Frederick Public Works.
Coach Reyes was an All-State lineman at Frederick. He continued his football career at Northwestern Oklahoma State in Alva, OK. Coach Reyes will be working with the offensive and defensive lines for 6th grade through High School. He will also assist in middle school wrestling and baseball.
Braylen Rogers
Mr. Rogers will join the district as an elementary custodian. Mr. Rogers is a 2004 Comanche graduate. He has a degree in Political Science from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma.
He and his wife, Kaycie, have been married for 11 years. They have two daughters, Ella and Rosalind, and also foster parents.
Mr. Rogers has worked in various fields and is currently working on his teaching certification. He enjoys gaming, Dungeons, and Dragons, Sooner and Cowboy football, Rangers Baseball, and listening to music. He is involved in the children's church and the audio/visual team at Patterson Avenue Baptist Church. Mr. Rogers is excited to be working at his alma mater and being a part of “Comanches Best.”.
Tyler Testerman
Mr. Testerman grew up in Comanche and attended Comanche Middle School and High School. He recently graduated from Cameron University and is excited to begin his teaching career at Comanche Middle School as a math teacher.
Charlesa Wilson
Charlesa Willson is proud to be a Comanche Indian (again)! She is a 2002 graduate of Comanche High School. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education from East Central University. This will be her 15th year as an educator. She has taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, and will be teaching 2nd grade this year.
She is married to a Comanche Graduate, Mike Wilson. They have two children, Shelby age 3, and Steven age 6 months. They enjoy spending time as a family and traveling.
Mrs. Wilson looks forward to working together with parents as partners in their child’s growth and development!!
