quarantine

August 21,2021

We have been informed that a person in the 4th grade classrooms has tested positive for COVID and unfortunately was not wearing a mask.  We have been in contact with our local health department and it would be the guidance of the Oklahoma State Department of Health to move all 4th grade classrooms to Distance Learning during the quarantine period.  There are several us riders that are effected by the quarantine as well. Those individuals are being notified. The timeline to return is under the following conditions.  The last date of exposure was August 20, so the 21st will be counted as day 1 of quarantine.  If you take a test on day 5 which will be the 25th, then you can return to school activities on Saturday the 28th with a mask.  Without a negative test and without symptoms, the end of the 10 day quarantine and return to school date is August 31.

We are working diligently to ready devices for DL for pickup on Monday between the hours of 5:00-6:30 p.m.  Please call for another pickup time if this isn’t convenient.  The devices will be given out from the front entry, please remain in your cars and we will bring them to you.  Those returning families from last year are well prepared and know what to anticipate during these DL days.  We will be ready to answer any questions for anyone, especially parents of students who are new to our school on Monday.  Please contact us with those questions after 8:30 so we may assist students during morning drop off between 7:45-8:00.

We want to thank you for your patience during these trying and difficult times.  The building will  be resanitized as an added precaution.

We also want to take this time to reiterate the importance of following guidance from the OK State Department of Health that best practices would be to wear a mask, wash your hands, and socially distance when possible.  If you notice any unusual symptoms please take caution and remain home. Our goal with these mitigation procedures is to be able to provide in person learning and opportunities for students.
