COVID-19 Technology Grant for Students
The Chickasaw Nation COVID-19 Technology Grant for Students provides technology assistance to Chickasaw students in grades K-12 to support technology needs in education. Eligible Chickasaw students or a custodial parent or legal guardian of a Chickasaw minor will be awarded a one-time assistance payment. Chickasaw citizens who previously received assistance under the COVID-19 Distance Learning Package will not qualify for this program.
Eligible Chickasaw students may be awarded a one-time assistance payment of $500 per citizen. Applications and required documentation can be submitted online at Chickasaw.net/DistanceLearning.
Eligibility:
- Must be a Chickasaw citizen enrolled in K-12
- Economic impact caused by COVID-19 at any point between March 17, 2020 and the date of the application including:
- Receiving unemployment benefits or have been unemployed
- Household annual income less than $75,000 for single or married filing separate, less than $112,500 for head of household or less than $150,000 for married filing jointly or surviving spouses
- Experiencing housing instability or risk of homelessness
- Experienced food insecurity
- Chickasaw citizens that have experienced the following are also eligible:
- Loss or reduction of income or employment
- Change in household or family circumstances
- Change in market circumstances
- Financial stress due to medical needs
The application deadline is Dec. 1.
